And entertaining, informative, and easy read

I am a big fan of De Stijl, and I have bought almost every book on it that I could find on Amazon (new and used).
This one was very interesting. Despite the title, it doesn't just concentrate on Mondrian (although the bulk of the book does), but talks about Mondrian's relationships with other De Stijl masters (like van Doesburg).
This book is small, but for its size and age, it is well illustrated. However, if you are looking for a "picture book" this is not it. I would recommend "De Stijl: Visions of Utopia" for that.
But, what I liked most about this book (as opposed to some others, like the "World of Art" series book on De Stijl by Paul Overy) is that it is readable and what the author has to say is not chocked out by pompous, "scholarly," S-A-T-esque vocabulary. If you want a nice, easy over-view of the De Stijl movement, I think this is your book.
