love love this story and i want more can't wait til book 3

Kali and Ryan have had eyes for each other but they fight their feelings . what happens when her best friend Serena tries to have Kali go with her to business party . masks and fantasy collide . to find out will the two be together is it just lust or is it more find out by buying then read and review Authors live for reviews til next read and review .
also can't wait til the next book to come out . september 22nd .

A great series

I was given Mastered by the Boss, of the Mastered By series, by author Opal Carew. It is a short 75+ page novella. The story centers on Kali, a secretary and her boss Ryan.
Kali is dragged to a costume work party by her friend and coworker, Serena. Dressed sexy and submissive in next to nothing she attends the party. Teased by Serena about sleeping with her boss, Kali since Serena is doing something similar.

I was given Mastered by the Boss, of the Mastered By series, by author Opal Carew. It is a short 75+ page novella. The story centers on Kali, a secretary and her boss Ryan.
Kali is dragged to a costume work party by her friend and coworker, Serena. Dressed sexy and submissive in next to nothing she attends the party. Teased by Serena about sleeping with her boss, Kali since Serena is doing something similar.

At the party mask hide the identity of the guest, Kali included. Sans a mask Ryan is drawn to the sexy and seductive Kali. He makes his way to where he sees her. She sees it is Ryan but he has no idea she is Kali. Both the object of the other’s lust.

Now dancing together she accepts his flirting eagerly; he leads her to a private room, armed with only a fake name she gave to her dance partner. Head nods is all she gives Ryan and after steamy, hot, wild sex she is off like Cinderella after the ball.

Ryan can’t stop thinking of the mystery woman and Kali can’t stop thinking how hot the sex with her boss was. He tries to find out who she is but is rebuffed at every turn till he unwittingly learns her identity.
After confronting her, they decide to have a sex only relationship. But soon her feelings grow and threaten the relationship. Can she live with less than what she wants & needs? Will he be able to give more than he wants?

OK, here is my take; it’s a good storyline but too short. Feelings erupt in a short period. Ones that aren’t realistic. Too me at least. Thus why I needed it longer.

Still I will rate this novella a solid 4 stars.

Required Reading

Along with 'The Peter Principle' these two topped the NY Best seller list for very long periods when first published. Apparently it struck too many nerves with the NEA and in Bureaucrats everywhere, and now is effectively a banned book. Should be required reading (with Peter Principle) for a High School diploma. If you want to survive in the corporate world, without selling your soul, READ THEM Both!

Humorous psychological management

This book is a sequel to the "Peter Principle" and could be viewed as a book on management, applied psychology, or quotations. I gave it extra credit for breadth. It has some lovely quotes in addition to Dr. Peter's arguments. While I think he's noticed some things others have not, I think his argument is still linear. For example, a supervisor requires a different skill set. Thus the best worker does not necessarily make a decent supervisor and vice versa. He even alludes to this in the book:

History shows that most men who become great leaders had been incompetent followers. p. 106

However, this book is a fun read and has lots of fine quotes. Some are quite well known:

There is always an easy solution to every human problem-neat, plausible, and wrong. H. L. Mencken, p. 13; and

My way of joking is to tell the truth. It's the funniest joke in the world. George Bernard Shaw, p. 8

Some are humorous as well as wise:

28 years of teaching experience is telling you buy this book for your students!

A MUST for middle schoolers. I used this book during summer school. These were school kids. They struggled with reading. They were disinterested in school. And.....this book rocked their world. We read two sections each day. The kids then had a "Book Club" and discussed the stories. They loved it. The stories captured their attention and imagination. Teachers BUY this book for your world cultures/social studies classes they will love it.

A Different Perspective

First Crossing: Stories About Teen Immigrants gives a glimpse of our world through the eyes of strangers. The short stories are of teens from all parts of the globe who have immigrated to the United States and find themselves in a myriad of different circumstances. Although the characters are so different, they all share the common challenge of dealing with change and accepting differences. The reader will appreciate the insight given and hopefully come away with a new sense of understanding and a resolve to be more tolerant. Bonnie, Meridian, ID.

In the book titled "First Crossing: Stories about Teem Immigrants" edited by "Donald R. Gallo" contains a set of different stories about teen immigrants. In these stories we can see what many teenagers experience when they first come to this country, United States. In addition, this book actually expresses various points of view from teen immigrants from different cultures, with different backgrounds, and with different situations after arriving to the United States. The book also talks about the different manners that these teens have, and how they might have to change them because they are not the same as the ones in the United States, and because of this others might even consider them weird. It also mentions how teen immigrants my also obtain a nickname as an effect of how they act or what they do. And, even about the opportunities that you might not be offered for being an immigrant or new in the place you arrived. But, most importantly these book talks about the memories and objects that have a meaning to these teen immigrants because they bring to them old memories from their native country and/or their old ancestors. One thing that I would have to say I liked about this book is that it does not only include one story, from the point of one single immigrant, but it includes many. Therefore, it makes it more likely for more teenagers to connect with these writers because they might even be able to find a story with their own point of view, and the exact same thing that happened to them. On the other hand, something I didn't like was that some of the stories were left with an open ending. This can also be seen as interesting because it allows the reader [me] to be able to create my own ending, based on my understanding of text/story. If I were to recommend this book to anyone, I would recommend it to teens in general. Not only teen immigrants, because I believe that every teen in the united states has met or at least seen someone in the street who is an immigrant, and we many times judge these teens based on their background without really knowing them - by reading these book these other teens would be able to see the situations immigrants go through, and will be more conscious when insulating or judging their ability to understand, do, or say some things.

Dr. Justis received his Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University in 1967, his MBA degree from BYU in 1969, and his Doctor of Business Administration degree from Indiana University in 1972. Present teaching and research areas are concerned with franchising, entrepreneurship, international businesses, and strategic business practices. He is also a Visiting Professor at Kingston University in London, England.

This book is definitely a must-have in any clinician's library that works with children and teenagers. It's very user friendly and is adaptable for treatment plans. Any clinician working with adolescents should read and own this book. The book, and the Adventure Therapeutic interventions it introduces, will expand your practice and increase your effectiveness.
