About the Author
Dr Clare Bailey is a GP who has developed the recipes in this book which she shares with her patients, many of whom are on the Blood Sugar approach. She is married with four children. Dr Sarah Schenker is a Registered Dietician and Nutritionist who has served on both professional and government committees. She developed the recipes in the original Blood Sugar Diet paperback, and The Fast Diet Recipe Book. Dr Michael Mosley is a British journalist, scientist, producer and TV presenter.

Great diet book. Use it and lose it.

Finally ....an easy diet book to read, follow, put into action and get results!! I highly recommend this book. It supplies recipes which are quite good, and takes you through the full eight weeks. Don't skip the first part of the book; it's important that you read that section; that you have the seasonings recommended, and that the recipes are followed. Do not change them. The authors have experimented with the dishes and you cannot improve them. Most of all, these meals don't leave you hungry soon after eating. I cannot praise this book too highly. If you are lumpy and fluffy, and need to drop some weight, get this book. You will not be disappointed.

Great cookbook for dieters and non dieters alike

I ordered this book as I want to lose some weight. I hesitated for a while as I already own the 8 Week Blood Sugar Diet book which this cookbook accompanies but wanted to follow the low carb Mediterranean version not the very low-cal diet as I don't have diabetes (I just don't want to develop it). I wish I hadn't waited as it is great - one of the best 'diet' cookbooks I own. I can see myself making a lot of meals using this book and the helpful suggestions it contains. After looking through the book I tried some of the recipes straight away: chicken biriani cauli rice, the no pasta beef lasagne as well as the apple and celeriac soup. They tasted really good and my husband enjoyed them too even though he doesn't need to lose any weight. I just added some carbs to his meal. Tonight we're having the pork steaks with mustard sauce and the spiced purple veg. All the recipes contain real unprocessed ingredients and lots of veg. This book makes me feel hopeful about losing weight without feeling deprived. Brilliant!

Excellent recipes, straight forward and no messing about and easy to follow and the diet really works; in fact it's not like being on a diet at all and you don't get hungry between meals - I would recommend this recipe book to everyone - I am not diabetic, I just wanted a healthier way of eating.
